A native of Greenville South Carolina, born to David and Gretta Wilson, his humble beginnings started at Reedy Fork Baptist Church under Reverend T.E. Simmons until he graduated from Southside High School in 1996 where he excelled in sports and public speaking at the top of the state. His athletic gifting’s earned him a scholarship to South Carolina State University then he later transferred to North Greenville University. During his college years he served as a supervisor at an adolescent mental health facility where he found a gifting and passion for motivating youth to overcome life’s obstacles in counseling settings. Pastor Devon currently is currently a Senior Account Marketing Consultant at WHNS-Fox Carolina.
In June of 2005, Devon rededicated his life unto the Lord and God began to put the broken pieces of his life back together again. In 2006 he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mass Communication, married his wife Evangelist Nakisha “Candi” Wilson and they now celebrate 15 years if marriage and three lovely children Devon Jr., Khersten, and Riley.
After rededicating his life, Elder Devon lived by Matthew 6:33 “Seek ye the Kingdom of God and Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”. In 2008 he accepted the call to ministry under Pastor Carl A. Mccluney, Founder of New Harvest Ministries, in Mauldin South Carolina where he has served from 2005-2019. In July 2011 he was ordained and licensed to the office of an Elder under the South Carolina Jurisdiction Churches of God in Christ. Elder Devon has worked in the youth department for 10 years and continues to minister to youth in various capacities locally & nationally; 2018 He was recently elevated as State Vice President and District President of Evangelism. Nov 2019 Elder Devon was installed as Pastor of Prayer and Faith Ministries in Greenwood SC. Pastor Devon has an authentic servant’s heart and he serves as God has commissioned him to because his purpose is not confined by a title but to see the miraculous power of God work though him to minister and motivate people into the presence of God’s Glory where spiritual transformation will take place.
